The folks at AgileBits are about to release a new version of 1Password 4, redesigned to work optimally with iOS6, including iCloud syncing. (And they’ve announced a sale — more on that, below).
I currently use 1Password 3 on my computers and the 1Password 3 app on my iPad and iPhone, and this software saves both my time and my sanity. On my Macs, the 1Password browser extension watches as I use or create passwords for websites, and asks if I want to save them. Then, instead of remembering hundreds of logins (including some that I change periodically), all I have to do is click 1Password in the browser nav bar, log in to 1Password, and it fills out my website passwords automatically.
For software, mail accounts, and credit cards I manually fill in all my information (including the 1-800 number to call if a card goes missing) and 1Password stores it for me on all my devices — secure behind my 1Password login.1Password data syncs between devices, so I always have the latest information on all my machines.
Thanksgiving Discounts
AgileBits is having a 30% off Thanksgiving sale on all their software. 1Password, usually a heft $34.99, is 30% off in the Apple App Store. Visit the iTunes Store to get 30% off on 1Password and 1Password Pro for iPhone (and those same apps for iPad). People who have a current version of 1Password will get a significant discount on the new 1Password 4 when its released.
There couldn’t be a better time to stop losing your passwords.
