The Pew Internet & American Life Project reports today that people love their smartphones. A few additional findings:
- 35% of American adults own smartphones (more than 1/3 of the 83% of American adults who own cell phones).
- Highest levels of smartphone adoption are among the well off, the well educated, non-whites, and adults under the age of 45.
- 25% of smartphone users are employing the phone, rather than a computer, to use the Internet.
